To foster a just, inclusive, and resilient society in which vulnerable communities are empowered to overcome poverty, inequality, and adversity, enabling all people to lead dignified lives and contribute to sustainable and equitable development
Since 2014, Jame Ghor Charity Organization (JCO) has been dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable communities across western Afghanistan through humanitarian assistance, community empowerment, and sustainable development initiatives. As a locally led organization with deep community roots and extensive field experience, JCO works to address immediate humanitarian needs while building long-term resilience and self-reliance.
Our integrated programs focus on Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Health and Nutrition, Education, Protection, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), and Emergency Response, ensuring that vulnerable women, children, youth, persons with disabilities, and crisis-affected families have access to essential services and opportunities for a better future.
Working in partnership with communities, government institutions, UN agencies, donors, and development partners, JCO delivers evidence-based, accountable, and community-driven interventions that strengthen resilience, improve well-being, and create sustainable pathways toward recovery and development. Through these collective efforts, we are helping communities not only overcome challenges but also build a future defined by dignity, opportunity, and hope

Our Story
Founded in 2014, Jame Ghor Charity Organization (JCO) is a locally led humanitarian and development organization serving vulnerable communities across Ghor, Herat, Badghis, Farah, and Nimroz provinces. Through integrated programs in Food Security and Livelihoods, WASH, Health and Nutrition, Education, Protection, MHPSS, and Emergency Response, JCO helps communities overcome crises, strengthen resilience, and build sustainable futures.
